The children in Malvern College Chengdu are happy because they have the teacher envied by others. Malvern teachers’ requirements are very high as the overseas branch campus directly under the British Malvern. At the same time, it holds the same standard as the British. In this annual meeting, the Malvern math department teacher, Charles Dong, proved the powerful teaching in Malvern with strength once again.
Pearson Edexcel is the UK’s largest academic institution and occupation certification exam, which get many of the world’s elite recognition. Their high school curriculum standards and content are known by the international education community as “the world college entrance examination” and “the gold medal standard of the global university entrance”.
This is the second time for Mr Charles Dong to be invited as a mathematics lecturer and teaching ambassador by Pearson Edexcel. Furthermore, he obtained the “best teacher certificate” in the two training sessions. In this annual meeting, Mr. Dong trained others mainly by the demonstration class, explaining the students’ examination attention and the different aspects of Chinese education and westerneducation. He finally concluded that students are the leaders of learning instead of teachers. Teachers should make a lot of classroom activities to make students more and more interested inlearning maths.
In addition to the training of A-Level teachers, the Pearson Edexcel’s annual meeting also held academic qualification certification and awards ceremony. Malvern College Chengdu opened in 2015, and it got “the most Improved award” for 2016-2017 because of it’s powerful teacher group, student’s outstanding achievement and other aspects, It is one of the five schools to receive the award in more than 100 young A-Level teaching centres throughout the country. Besides, two students from our school were also awarded “Highest Mark in The World” (the highest score in the global language subject).
It can cultivate the good young plant In Malvern College Chengdu, which is full of academic atmosphere of the fertile soil. As the examination center of the Edexcel, it will deliver the goods to provide authentic English education for the students and write the most splendid chapter.
