With over 30 years of experience teaching IB, IGCSE and A Levels in international schools Mr Docherty’s former roles include Principal, Deputy Principal, Academic Analyst, Head of Mathematics and Director of Studies. With a broad leadership and administrative portfolio Mr Docherty brings with him an ability to lead the academic team in all aspects of student progress including: oversight of the curriculum from Key Stage 3 to 5, assessments, student reporting, student tracking, target setting together with staff recruitment, academic timetabling and experience with examination boards such as CIE, AQA and Edexcel.
Mr Docherty is completely dedicated towards delivering an outstanding holistic educational experience to all young people and is passionate about his subject, Mathematics. Throughout his career Mr Docherty has also offered a wide variety of extra-curricular activities to his students such as soccer coaching, ski trips, watersports trips, hiking clubs, maths competitions and assisting with the organization of various school concerts and events.
