The long-awaited Winter Fete is finally here! This annual celebration beautifully embodies the vibrant diversity of cultures and shows the Malvern Qualities in full glory. Let’s join in the festive fun and soak up the lively atmosphere and joyful moments. A key objective of this event is to raise funds through the fete’s activities for MCC’s charitable causes, much like the Pink Day event and to support those in need.
In October, 2024, the MCC Parents Support Group (PSG) was officially established. Dedicated PSG members have played an integral role in the preparations for the Winter Fete, embodying the Malvern Qualities and setting a shining example for our pupils. On the day of the festivities, PSG members and student volunteers collaborated seamlessly to raise funds through various on-site games and activities.
It’s show time！Unlike previous years, this year’s stage was set up on the vast outdoor football field. The dynamic dance and melodious music complemented each other, with the performances of each department leaving the audience mesmerised.
Teachers from the Pre-prep, Prep and Senior schools have also generously contributed their time, setting up a total of 30 stalls offering a wide range of fun games, sports, crafts, and arts during the fete. So, what thrilling activities, enchanting sights and mouth-watering treats does this event have in store for us?
A vibrant fete is never complete without fun games and exquisite handmade crafts! Stalls featuring snowball throwing, balloon darts, the ‘Spin to Win’ wheel, skiing and more, were buzzing with activity, and filled with laughter and cheers. The handmade craft market was equally lively: some pupils picked up their needles and threads to experience the beauty of Shu brocade embroidery, while others glided inkstones and, with a sweep of the brush, created stunning calligraphy works…
The time flew by, the celebrations came to a close. On this joyful and energetic day, we created many cherished memories together with parents and pupils. We are grateful for the enthusiastic participation of everyone, and we look forward to seeing you all again at next year’s Winter Fete!
