Praise for the MCC

On September 23rd, Malvern had 50 students taking part in the Australian Mathematics Competition and 41 of them won the prize. Five of them are awarded second place, including Desmond, Johnny, Carl Chen, Paul Duan and Mona. Malvern was awarded the “Outstanding Organization Certificate” by the Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network (ASDAN). The students can’t get excellent results without the support and nurturing of the teaching team. Charles Dong also won the “Outstanding Coach” certificate in this competition.

Malvern students are encouraged to apply mathematical thinking and theory to their     lives. They had the best mathematics logical thinking ability in order to achieve good results in the AMC. Malvern students through the study of A-Level mathematics curriculum could help improve their logical thinking ability in mathematics. For example, Magnolia Liu got full marks through the learning of mechanical Mathematics (AS-M1) in the A-Level mathematics course.

MCC students have been, or will be, in other competitions such as the American Mathematics Contest (AMC), the American Academic Mathematics Contest and the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing. (CEMC).
