The fourth Malvern College Chengdu Summer Internship—China and United States MetLife life-insurance Company

IN THIS SECTION

 December 22, 2017

The fourth Malvern College Chengdu Summer Internship, our students went to China and United States MetLife life-insurance company to learn insurance knowledge for two days.

In the morning of August 2nd, under the guidance of a professional teacher, a two-day training course on insurance and financial management was carried out.

After that, teachers shared a lot about the achievements of MetLife. Children were exposed to the economic environment every day. They not only learned how to create greater value, but also how to manage their assets. These can be collectively called ‘economic literacy’.

The next morning, students shared their feelings with teachers and other students through a 1 hour reading of  ‘The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People’.

In fact, from the different ways of thinking when sharing with three students, it can be seen that international education cultivates children’s ability to think independently and not blindly go along with others. This is especially the case in Malvern College Chengdu.

In Malvern College Chengdu, the school organized students to attend a lecture on financial knowledge to understand how to allocate their own assets in the future. At ordinary times, students voluntarily organized activities such as watching movies and selling school-made postcards and other public welfare activities, which made a contribution to society and excised their financial literacy and business thinking.
