She attained her Bachelor of Arts degree by majoring in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCFL) from Shanxi Normal University, she then obtained a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Michigan State University. She also holds K8 Elementary Education Certification and K12 Teaching Chinese Certification with 7 years of teaching experience gained in Michigan. Amber previously worked at Farmville Primary School in the United States, Vought Hill Primary School and Michigan State University. She is experienced in using an interdisciplinary teaching approach and in encouraging students to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
