In considering applications from prospective students, we are dedicated to building diversity and we welcome families of any nationality. We also take into consideration how our values as an institution align with the families of our students, so we make it mandatory to meet the parents and the child(ren).

When to Apply

Parents may apply for a place for your children two years in advance of the desired year of entry into Year 5, but not earlier.

Before the start of academic year 2017-2018, the Admissions Office will accept and review applications on a rolling basis. However, applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible.

Priority in Admissions Process

We are looking to build a diverse student population. With the relevant admissions policies in place, we are committed to promoting the formation of a vibrant community. The school is open to considering students who may need some support in English in the short term, if their home environment can support their learning in English.

In addition, the following groups will have priority for assessment:

• Corporate Nomination Right (CNR) nominees
• Individual Nomination Right (INR) nominees
• Siblings of students already attending Malvern College Chengdu;
• Students who have been attending Malvern College Pre-School Hong Kong for at least of one year prior to admission to Malvern College Chengdu; Children of Old Malvernians (alumni) and students transferring from another school in the Malvern College family who have attended for a minimum of 2 years in good standing.
• Students who bring diversity of nationality, ethnicity, religion, age, family blend, learning styles and needs and gender

All children will be required to meet the school’s entrance requirement irrespective of priority status, including those children nominated under the Nomination Rights Scheme
